About Us

STC, acronym for Saudi Telecom Company, is the biggest company in Saudi Arabia that has been offering telecommunication services since 1998. The company is government owned, and has grown to accommodate over 165 million customers around the globe. It is located in Riyadh the capital city of Saudi Arabia with employees from all the states of Arab. Most of its branches are located in the Arab States. In the recent past, however, it has ventured into Asia and Africa. STC has offices in South Africa, Bahrain, Kuwait, Indonesia, India, Turkey and Malaysia. The venture into other continents and states has given it a good customer base internationally creating pools of loyal clients where they venture. It is one of the largest telecommunication organizations in Saudi Arabia as it has a high market capitalization cost and its total revenue estimations run into billions. The current Chief Executive Office is Dr. Khaled Al Ghonaim since June 2012

Its vision is to keep growing and extending it services to reach all corners of the globe while maintaining quality to its services and extending offers to cover the needs of different continents and cultures. The values it demands of its employees and upholds as a company are honesty at all times, even when that truth may not be good to hear. It also emphasizes commitment to work, and encourages its employees to sell their products without feeling shortchanged . In addition, it inculcates compliance with the policies and decisions made by the corporation to facilitate smooth running of the company, and respect for colleagues and customers so as to deliver services with no prejudice or anger due to misunderstandings. Taking the initiative to keep in the loop of what is new in the market and the demands of customers to help the corporation achieve its goals. The company has made grown extensively since 2000 when it launched its internet services in the Saudi kingdom. Two years later in 2002, STC started the SAWA service that offers free talk time minutes locally and internationally to SAWA subscribers. In 2004, it started a Qitaf package that allows customers to redeem points attained by using airtime. The following year, STC extended its internet services to offer IP-VPN services to companies with branches. Year 2006, saw the introduction of phones with 3G capability to make video calls, 2007 STC launched AL-Jawwal TV services that offered mobile users the ability to watch live channels on their phones. In 2008, the Digital Subscriber Line of STC reached a one million mark of subscribers giving the highest number of customers in Middle East . 




The year 2009 saw STC offer its subscribers the highest downloading speeds of 21Mbps on their data and mobile services. In 2010, the company launched and expanded most of its services first it opened data centers to create data center services that were gaining demand. That same year STC introduced broadband services, the first in Middle East that offered speeds of between 40 and 100Mbps (Saudi Telecomms). It expanded its 3G services to allow speeds of up to 42Mbps and launched its Interactive Vision TV program and the first VoIP bundles in both fixed and mobile lines. The following year was an achievement year also that began with the launch of Aamal systems for small enterprises and its broadband speeds reached 1000Megabytes per second. The launch of cloud services and 4G LTE internet services happened in the same year. The company has plans to continue being the leading service launcher in the Middle East and the globe in coming years
